Chaplain Gauthier was born in Helmstedt, Germany. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Design from the College of the Visual Arts, St. Paul, MN. He received the Master of Divinity degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamiliton, MA and a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in preaching from Gordon Conwell. Chaplain Gauthier enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1982, serving on a Psychological Operations Loudspeaker Team. After completion of college in 1985 he attended Officer Candidate School and served as a Mechanized Infantry Platoon Leader in Germany. He left active duty to attend seminary and reentered the Army as a chaplain in 1992. Chaplain Gauthier's assignments include: Battalion Chaplain, 1st Battalion 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne), Ft Bragg, NC Group Assistant Chaplain, 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne), Ft Bragg, NC Battalion Chaplain, 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, Ft Lewis, WA Deputy Community Chaplain, 410th Base Support Battalion, Bad Krueznach, Germany Group Chaplain, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft Bragg, NC Student, Command and General Staff Officer's College, Ft Leavenworth, KS Group Chaplain, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft Campbell, KY Course Manager, Chaplain Basic Officer Leader Course, Ft Jackson, SC Command Chaplain, U.S. Army Special Forces Command, Ft Bragg, NC Command Chaplain, ISAF Joint Command, Kabul Afghanistan CH Gauthier is currently serving as an Army Senior Service Fellow at George Mason University's School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Chaplain Gauthier and his wife Christa have been married for 23 years. They have four children, Timothy (19), Christopher (18), Rachel (16) and Benjamin (12). He loves hanging out with his family and loves being in the outdoors. |
